D4N Tools is a growing library of free, fast, browser-based utilities. Whether you're checking a DNS record, generating a password, formatting JSON, or creating a quick poll — everything runs directly in your browser with no account required.

Specifically, to save your dark mode preference, to show your recently visited tools on the home page, to remember your search history on tools that support it, and to prevent duplicate votes on polls. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Our principles

• Privacy first. Most tools run entirely in your browser — your data never leaves your device. Tools that require a backend (such as Straw Poll) store only the minimum data needed to function, and nothing is tied to your identity.
• No friction. No sign-up, no ads, no paywalls. Open the tool, use it, done.
• Fast and reliable. Served from a global CDN so pages load quickly wherever you are, with no servers to go down.

Privacy indicators

Every tool displays a shield badge so you always know how your data is handled.

• Browser only The tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere — your data never leaves your device.
• 3rd party API The tool calls an external service (such as a DNS resolver) to fetch data. Your query is sent to a third-party API but nothing is stored or logged by D4N Tools.
• Stored by D4N Tools The tool stores data in D4N Tools' cloud for as long as you need it to function (for example, a poll and its votes). Only the minimum data is stored and nothing is tied to your identity.
